- Last Tuesday my computer broke while I was trying to finish an important piece of work.
- So I called a friend who knows about computers, and he came over straightaway.
- He had a look at it, but he couldn’t fix it.
- He took my keys so he could come back to fix it the next day while I was at work.
- The next morning when I was trying to leave for work, I discovered that he had locked my front door from the outside, and I couldn’t get out of the flat.
- My parents were travelling abroad, and no one else I know had a spare key.
- I tried to call my friend, but he had left his phone in my flat. It was ringing right next to me.
- I had to wait for him to arrive, and so I was very late for work.
